The Hardy Family

At the close of another day, we've actually made some progress! Nate is a little more up and around. He actually went into work yesterday for about 6 hours...I think he overdid it, but it was good for him to get out of this bubble he's been living in. His coworkers are great, and they gave so much encouragement yesterday.

He stayed home today, but did work from home. He still has a lot of pain and hasn't gained any weight back. He's getting an appetite, but food kind of makes him sick.

All of Nate's records were faxed yesterday, and overnighted along with his CT scans to five different doctors. We had two doctors contact us today who are both willing to give us an in person consultation! Another doctor emailed us after she learned about his diagnosis from someone we came into contact with who had the same cancer about five years ago. I'm amazed that anyone would even call us! I figured that we'd have to go knocking down their doors to get anyone to listen. Just one more blessing that's been given to us.

Thanks again for all the responses on FB, and for all the emails. It's been so good for Nate to feel your love and support. He's been overwhelmed by all the kind words and gestures. I've been feeling it since the beginning as I've been out and about, but he's been very focused on his recovery, and really hasn't been anywhere to feel the love! It'll be three weeks tomorrow that we started with this craziness, and he's really only been in the hospital and in our house during all that time. Thank you, thank you for all the love!!! Keep it coming! A positive attitude is priceless!
