It's been a good weekend. Nate was able to go to work for a bit on Friday! We were also able to go to dinner and a movie! It was nice to feel a little bit of "normal" for a few hours. We are grateful for these moments.
Today Nate came to church with us! It was soooo good to have him there with our family. Everyone was happy to see him. He's looking pretty "lean" in his new suit that we bought him for our cruise! :) He seems to have a little more energy, and a little less discomfort. Hoping that he's turned a corner, and that he won't have any more complications from his surgery.
This week we'll focus on figuring out which out of state doctor we want to go to so we can settle on a treatment plan. Nate will probably start systemic chemotherapy late this week or early next week. It all depends on how the out of state doctors want to plan for his BIG surgery. We're praying that the choice will be a clear one once we get to interview all the doctors.
Our new medical oncologist here in SLC is great! He's very willing to work with the other doctors, and agrees that we should be very aggressive in Nate's treatment. We are grateful for all the things that have fallen into place over the last few weeks. It's amazing to watch the hand of the Lord work in our lives.
Thanks to all of you who are following this and keeping Nate and our family in your prayers. We can't begin to express the amount of gratitude we are feeling. I've relied heavily on the faith of others when my own fear creeps in. Thank you, thank you!
I was just thinking about you and thought I would check in on the blog. We are praying for you! Thanks for your blog updates and for Nate's Facebook updates.
